Stayed in the parlor suite at Desert Inn. The "parlor" is just a small room (just wide enough to accommodate the sofa on one end and the tv at the other end) that you enter first from the door, with a queen sleeper sofa and a tv, then an inner door into the main room with 2 queen beds. Clean, comfortable, and I noticed they had nice quality linens. I requested ahead of time, and got, top floor and as far forward as possible; it was very nice to be close to the front. The breakfast is simple continental-- cereal, yogurt, juice, hard boiled eggs, which is fine for us. They have a small indoor pool/hot tub, and a rooftop deck you can see fireworks from, if you head back early. Service was friendly and prompt at the front desk and on the phone.
The Park Vue is so close next door that I thought they were attached. There's a ColdStone Ice cream store, and just behind that, a good little convenience store if you need to pick up any essentials or snacks.
Have not stayed at BWPPI, though I've heard good things about it; only con I hear is that the rooms are kind of dark and dingy.
