Park Vue Inn installing new carpets!

For those worried about dirty carpets at PVI- worry no more! They just announced on Facebook that they're installing new carpeting.

It really is a nice little motel and this is one less concern to have about them.

Oh I would absolutely think so. They said "pardon our dust as we install new carpeting this week."

I am so happy! That was the only thing that had me concerned about our stay in December.

I called tonight because we were thinking of staying at the Park Vue in mid May and the guy said they are only doing 3 rooms at a time (i.e. per day). He figured that the re-carpeting would take several months!!

I think I'm going to keep my ressie at Candy Cane Inn. I would LOVE to be right across the street but the "dirty carpet' reports have always kept me from staying there!

Well fingers crossed, according to my calculatuionsthat means that they should have 186 rooms done by the time I get there - soooo that plus the rooms that they have already done hopefully will mean that they will be done when I arrive!!!

The new carpet is installed only when the room is not occupied.
This totally make sense, but it also means that it will take a long time to finish the project because the peak season is around the corner.

Oh, right, I guess that makes sense doesn't it!! I hadn't thought of the room occupation as a factor!!

They only have 86 rooms, according Expedia.

Even better!! That means they should be done for sure by the time I go!!!lol! We are going July 8-15! So excited!!!

Yeah, when I talked to them around 1 1/2 weeks ago, they told me it was going to take a long time to get them all dome since it is done when rooms are vacant & they're really busy. I specifically asked if they will all be done by the time we go in later June & he said they had no idea, but basically sounded like probably not since they're so booked. Let's hope it's all done by then!
