Park visit used wrong tickets-not linked!

Were only going to be in the parks for 4 days. According to looking on the Disney website, If I use 2 two day hoppers to make 4 days of parks, that would = 515.46. If I upgrade a two day hopper to 4 days it would cost 392.99 thus saving me 122.47. So that would be good for me to do being I can save my NE hopper for other trips. I'm not sure I would do that for my husband though because then he still has a NE hopper with 4 days in his name. Not sure if I can get him back another 4 days, ha!
Keep your two-day hopper and upgrade to 4.

Pull his ticket off of MDE and you can link it to a random-named person in your MDE account for safekeeping until you reassign it for a future trip.

Are you concerned at all about 4 days worth of FPs?

This is confusing to me (and frustrating for you, sorry). Did you use tickets or magicbands to enter? If tickets I have no idea how the wrong ones could've been used. Either way guess the thing to do is to have one ticket for each person attached to the account at a time so the system doesn't get confused

Two more questions:
1. Can an old paper ticket which has 4 days left and is a NE hopper in my husbands name be assigned to another person other than my husband? I have not put it in MDE yet. (I'm deciding whether to save it for another trip being my husband isn't a big disney fan and it would be nice to have the NE option in case I go for say a shorter trip another time.)
I don't know the technicalities... but if it is older, and not in MDE, they will likely assign it to whomever you tell them to,at guest services- at least they did for me,on my last trip - I had partial NE tix days left that 3 of us had used in the past...I gave them to the guy,and he asked who I wanted them assigned to, I told him all to me- and he did. Not sure if it happens all the time, but this was last January. they were from 2007

When they were used before, had anyone scanned their fingerprint with them? Our tickets were from 2005 and we thought we remembered doing the finger scan.

It wouldn't have mattered.
In mid 2006, WDW changed the finger scanners from the older-style 2-finger scanners to the current 1-finger scanners.
All 2-finger scans were erased.

So are you saying this ticket does not have a fingerprint assigned to it? That means I could assign it to anyone?

Are you not wanting to pre-book FPs for your 4 total park days?

With your 2-day hopper, you can only book FPs for 2 days until you upgrade to the 4-day hopper.
I still have a couple months before I need to book my FPs, I was just trying to figure out which tickets to use and then to make sure the wrong tickets didn't get used up by accident like so many others have had done. Then in the middle of all that I was trying to figure out whether to upgrade the 2 day tickets to 4 and just use those vs. our NE hoppers! Thanks for all your help in walking me through my decision. Also thanks to all the other posters who made me aware of how I need to get my tickets prioritized and to double check that they are used in the order I want them to.

I am pretty sure you can.... it doesn't hurt to ask when you are switching them over to RFID anyway at GS! I think the changeover to MDE has changed a lot,and if they're old like mine were you can just tell them to attach it to whomever you say, like yourself.

Thanks so much! One last question (hopefully) - because they are old tickets does that mean I can't just add them to MDE myself-I have to go to guest services? I had a ticket from UT and I added that to my MDE last year before I went.

You can go to the Ticket area of MDE and see if they will link. If they are older than 8 years, they may not link.

For those of you that have had prioritized multiple tickets in MDE: is it always true that the first ticket listed in MDE is the highest priority, that is, the one that will be used? For an upcoming trip, I have an existing AP and a park hopper purchased as part of a package. Of course, I want to use the AP and save the park hopper for another time. In MDE, the AP is listed first.

My TA told me I could prioritize my tickets over the phone and gave me a number to call. Is this not correct? Does Guest Services have to do it? I'm going to take PP advise and create "ghost people" on my MDE to assign the comp tickets that I don't want used as an extra precaution....

Reassigning tickets to ghost/phantoms is much safer and more exact than calling someone and hoping they prioritize correctly.

Thanks, using your advise, I just went in and added five ghost people and linked the comp tickets to them. When I check the detail for the five of us for our trip in two weeks it now says we each only have one ticket associated so it worked! Thanks again!!

hopefully Disney can look at your history and see that it was an unintentional use and correct it.
I am paranoid about this myself because i have AP and remainders of Non exp wpf&m on our tickets. so I'm always stopping at GS to re-prioritize, double check priority when I'm at the parks. The APs don't have water parks on them - so we use the admissions from the non exp tix..... but then when I go back to one of the main parks, I double check to make sure the system won't take one of my non exp days!
