Park visit before resort check in

Here is our situation, we are driving down and arriving around 9:00pm next Friday. Our plan is to visit the parks first thing in the morning (rope drop) but we are staying at a Hilton Friday and not "checking in" to Coronado Springs until that night.

We have used the on line check in but I dont know if our magic bands will be activated or if I need to do anything else prior to arriving at the parks Saturday.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

You have to stop at guest relations to have your tickets activated. there is one at every park.

Guest relations outside the park entrance? Do you thing it would it be better/faster to drive to the resort in the morning then make our way to the parks?

What about parking passes? I guess if they are using the magic bands for parking those would need to be turned on first?

We're doing the same thing - heading to the parks before checking in at the resort. I've been wondering about parking, since we won't have the parking pass unless we stop at the resort first. I hadn't even thought about needing to "turn on" the magic bands. I figured since I had tickets linked to them, they'd work right at the turnstiles and thereafter. Maybe I haven't thought this through enough.

If you check into CS on Friday night, your tickets/Magic Bands should be active and working on Friday morning when you go to the park without having to do anything if they are linked to your MDE account

Completing online checkin and choosing the earliest arrival time will activate the ticket portion of your package. You do not need to go to Guest Relations.

Just head to the park - your MagicBands are already active and Disney activates your tickets for your arrival day depending on which time you choose during your online checkin process.

You will NOT need to do anything but head to the parks if you online check. I just did this last time I was at Disney.

Parking is done by your Magic Band now so you don't get any type of pass. They just scan your band. If you set online check in to text you your room you don't even need to go into the lobby just head directly to your room. You band will open the door.

As others have said, no need to do anything. Set up to be texted when your room is ready is a good idea.

and make sure you get to the park before opining at 9 as some will open 15 minutes early and if you are doing MK remember you have to take the monorail or the fray over so I would plane at lest getting to the parking lot an hour early

I know this is an older thread, but it seemed like a good place to put my question.

We will be arriving around 6:30a on our arrival day; MK has morning EMH, so we are going to head over there to be in line early. We will be parking our car at the hotel and taking a bus to MK. I would like to just do online check-in and be ready to roll as soon as we get there (don't want to have to stop into the lobby), but what do we do about no parking tag when we park at the hotel?

Go in to the online check in desk it will move quicker then the other ones ( or it should) or if you are staying at one of the values you really do not need a parking tag

We are staying at a value resort. So, we still have to stop in at the lobby when we get there even though we did the online check-in? We were hoping to just jump on a bus and go to the park before coming back to the hotel around lunch time (as long as our room is ready) and picking up our check-in packets.

The above is what I do and I stay at value all the time you can go to the front desk latter that day and get you parking tag but sometimes I never do.

They didn't give us any kind of parking tag for our cars when we were there a few weeks ago. They scanned our band at the guard station and that was it. We stayed at POFQ.
