Lots of interesting things/updates from the park today. Not the least of which was the update I posted this morning about the right side of the castle (as you look at it from the hub) where Snow White's Grotto is is now open. The way the refurb boards/fence is setup, it looks like it's good to go until the refurb is complete. Moreover, the left side is now completely behind the refurb wall so it seems we'll be free of the confusion and annoyance that often sprung from that.
The big news: a friend was at DL last Sunday and, she tells me, passed George Lucas and his entourage on Main Street. She'd just bought a lightsaber and as they passed, George said to her "Nice lightsaber!" I didn't see this but this is as it was told to me.
Buzz scoring is still supremely unreliable. This time, though, rather than a simple explanation of the problem, I've made note of the more troublesome cruisers that we rode today. They are: 8,12,13,18,24,29. These are the ones to avoid, if possible. Cruisers 8 & 24 -- only the left guns' scores register/flow through. Scores will display on the ride but at the photo kiosk the scores from the left guns will be there but the right ones will only display zero. Others have various scoring or navigation issues. 29, for example, spins far more than it should when the joystick is turned. It makes it hard to line up targets or, indeed, to enjoy the game.
More info below and pics. Note that this seems to be high season for refurbs throughout the park, as many of you know.
Snow White's Grotto is now open and offers a nearly direct path to FL. Especially useful at rope drop
.

The left path to FL is now sealed off, which eliminates past confusion about whether it will be open or not.
There's also a barrier in place between Frontierland and Adventureland. No idea how long this will be in place but now a more roundabout path must be taken to pass between the lands.

Burt and Mary... inexplicably are not undergoing a refurb. This is subject to change, however.

Spotted this raven in Le Bat en Rouge. Never noticed it before. Presumably it's a tip-of-the-hat to HM.

More pics to follow below!
