The park was well attended today but, as in recent days, crowds were relatively light. I have a brief report and a number of interesting updates plus some park pics. Consider them your forum dessert ;-).
Report:
Once the park opened, I was pleased to see that every guest walked. There are nearly always a few that run. Today was a notable exception. Indeed, at rope drop, I don't believe there was a single runner to PP. It makes for a nice change.
Speaking of PP, the Snow White's Grotto path was open once again today. Until the castle refurb is complete, that's the fastest, most direct way into FL and to PP.
Buzz was a train wreck for me. I couldn't get above 1.7M for some reason. I broke 2M once but I went about 77,000 points beyond the reset level (2,096,000). It was a frustrating day, as far as Buzz goes.
I met two nice Chinese girls from Shanghai as I left the park. Very nice and I loved their outfits (pic below). I hope to connect with them on a future visit. A friend I know through DL who relocated to FL about 18 months ago always jokes about how I meet a lot of girls at DL. Perhaps that's true, but I also joke that I meet a lot of girls everywhere ;-). Certainly I try... with mixed results.
P.S. [EDIT]We were the first on Peter Pan yesterday. We always feel that's a great way to start the day.
Updates:
• The Astro Orbiter refurb is complete! The walls are gone and it ran all day.
• The Adventureland archway/sign is gone. It makes the entrance slightly wider. There’s a new, much smaller sign – perhaps 4’ wide – on the right side of the bridge as you approach from the hub. A larger one is expected. Pic below.
• CMs on Splash Mountain offered small plastic bags to any guests that wanted one. They’re probably meant to keep phones, watches, etc dry.
• A friend pointed out something as we rode Pirates at around 9:30 (it was virtually a walk-on). Immediately outside of the Costurera , there’s a red hat and what appears to be a dress. His theory is that it’s a homage to the recently-retired redhead. Sounds like a distinct possibility to me. See the pic below, although it isn’t especially clear. Please share your opinions and thoughts.

Possible redhead hat/dress homage?
