HI,

if i was to book okw for 3 weeks next year with free ddp but only took the park tickets for 2 weeks, is that allowed ? and is there any effect on the ddp, apart from not eating in parks once tickets have expired.

thanks
hope that sounds right.

As far as I am aware, you do not have to book tickets that cover your length of stay. You are able to book whichever tickets suit you best, be it 14/21 day Ultimates or 5/7 day Premiums.

There should be no problems, other than as you've recognised in that you will have to book ADRs outside of the parks for a week of your stay. Personally, I prefer many of the resort restaurants to those in the parks anyway.

For the UK free DDP deals you can buy any of the tickets it offers you online, I just checked for a 21 day trip next year for 3 of us.
With 14 day tix = £3,969.90 - 3% Quidco = £3,850.80
With 21 day tix = £4,083.90 - 3% Quidco = £3,961.38

£110.58 or £36.86pp more for the extra week, for me worth every penny to spread Disney out over they whole 3 weeks instead of into 2 and can eat anywhere without considering inpark or resort etc.

The T&C's used to be a minimum of 5 day tickets, not sure if this has changed to 7 days as it didn't offer me 5 days.

thanx guys. thinking of different options for next summer so thanks for your help.

Sorry to high-jack the thread but I have a similar question and thought I'd add to this rather than start a new topic.

If we stay on-site for 7 days (off-site for the another 7)and buy tickets 14 days and DDP while we're on-site, will the tickets still all be on your room key even though you won't be at the hotel for week 2? If so, will we be able to save some DDP credits for the second week? Just thought as its all on your room key do they let you keep it but restrict access to your old room?? Or do the DDP credits expire when you check out of your on-site hotel?

Hope I made the question clear enough to understand!:goodvibes

DDP credits expire at midnight on the date you check out of the on-site (Disney) hotel. So, if your tickets are on your KTTW (room key), you will still be able to use that to enter the parks (assuming you have a 14-day ticket) but you will lose any dining credits as of midnight on the date you check out.

You need to stay onsite first, some have posted staying offsite first and struggled to get their tickets activated, some managed OK upto 3 days so you are better staying onsite first.
After that your tickets are valid until they expire, we did a cruise last year, tickets still valid after the cruise.
Unfortunatley your DDP credits expire at midnight the day you check out of your Disney resort.

Just seen Joh's replied so I am sure I have just duplicated her info :rotfl2:

Ah thanks for the info guys :goodvibes that's kinda a shame because last time we had too many credits and could've easily spread them out, but nevermind, any excuse to pig out!!! :rotfl: we're thinking of buying some DVC points and staying the 2nd week in BLT, so if we do this we'll have our own kitchenette and can have some meals on the balcony :cool1: Thanks Wayne for the tip on staying in the Disney hotel 1st :thumbsup2
Thanks again
