Hi all! Me again! We will be going during busy season and I am expecting crowds. We are ok with that, main reason we have 7 day hoppers. I am hoping we will be able to take our time as much as possible and do everything that we want to do. Is there anywhere I can find touring plans? I haven't been able to find any. I have searched everywhere that one normally would. Do you just go in and either go left or right? Go straight to the back and work your way around?? We will not be riding any of the roller coasters or bigger rides for kids 49inches or taller. Nor the pg 13 shows. We will mainly be doing kid areas and anything that is geared for all ages/heights. Is there a plan for WWOHP? We have our breakfast ressie so we will be there @ 8am for that and then onto the WW. Hippogriff is the only ride we will actually ride. What should we do first? I am a planner and am getting anxious that we may not even have a loose plan when we get there in a few weeks. Any advice or tips will be appreciated! Thanks!!!:thumbsup2

We're making our first trip to IOA this April. I'm climbing on board this thread, because I'm clueless on this stuff too.popcorn::

There really aren't any touring plans for Universal since it's only two parks and most people just explore at their leisure. IOA is a big circle with a lake in the center. You can either go left through Marvel Super Hero Island or right through Suess Landing. WWoHP is in the rear of the park and pretty small. After breakfast, I would suggest doing Ollivander's first and then explore the rest of the area. Flight of the Hippogriff is a fun kid's coaster that many adults enjoy...including yours truly. ;)

Your kids should enjoy Suess Landing...make sure you do everything. They would also enjoy Camp Jurassic, Me Ship The Olive and the Jurassic Park Discovery Center.

If you're going to the Studios, they will find quite a bit to do as well. The Woody Woodpecker KidsZone, Curious George Goes to Town water playground, Fievel's playground are fun as well as the Animal Actors show.

You might want to read some of the trip reports to see how others enjoyed the parks and what they did so you can get an idea.

The unofficial guide to WDW has touring plans for both Universal parks in addition to those for Disney parks.

If you buy the Universal Orlando guide by Kelly Monaghan there is a basic touring plan/idea for both parks.

The parks were not that busy when I went so I didn't have to use them but the book was great for getting an idea on how to get around the parks. I highly recommend it if you have never been before.

Have the book and am in process of reading it now. I have also printed out maps and descriptions of most everything we will be doing in both parks. This is all new to me. I am so familiar with WDW I only follow a loose plan that is mostly based on EMH & Park hrs. Glad to know that I don't really much more of a plan than that. So now I will be looking @ my maps and what we want to do and put them on the list. :cool1: Yea! Thanks everyone!!!!

go to the UO website and check out what are in the parks, food places, rr, rides, shows, height restrictions, etc.

you can get an idea of each ride/show and it's location.
the interactive map is good for a noobie.

take notes on what your highlights in the park will be and concentrate on that for a start.

most people start doing the rides at the front of the park instead of walking down to the third or fourth attraction.
you can avoid some lines be hitting the rides you prefer on your first visit.

the hours of some rides in the studio side is staggering.
not all are open when the gates open.

if you can familarize yourself with the layout of the park before you go, the park guide map will be easier to follow once you are there.
