One of the best things we did was the Disneyland Park guided tour. It lasted 2Hrs 20mins(officially 2Hrs).The highlight of this tour was going backstage of Star Tours. Since the tour was only myself and my two children-due to the wettish weather- we were taken round by the VIP guide. We were taken into a glass room inside one of the housings for the star cruiser simulator, normally used by maintainece crew.We watched a simulator in action with all the lights on whilst the people were inside enjoying the ride.It was amazing to see the walkways raise and the simulator start its routine.
A truly fantastic guide!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

Nice to hear bout this - how much did it cost and is there anyother benefits ie fast pass on rides while on tour or character meets?

What day did you do this on? Wasn't the 22nd of August by any chance? I only ask because I went on Star Tours on that day and remember seeing a guy and two children smiling in a glass booth to the left as I came off the ride. I remember wondering if the guy was a celebrity or something because he was in what looked like a staff area but was obviously not staff (think he (you?) was wearing a black jumper)

Strange if it was you! It really would be a small world after all!

Hi minnielover,
The cost of the tour was 15 euros per adult and children under 12 are free.
Whilst on the tour you do not ride any attractions or meet any characters.
Hope this helps.

Hi Happy Tappy,
It really is a small world as it was indeed me in black top and my 2 children in the glass box to the left of the ride exit. The maintenance guy forgot to switch off the main lighting and therefore you could see us until he remembered to switch them off!!!!!!!

P.S. Sorry, but i am not a celebrity!:cool2:

How very random! It's strange how it stuck in my head but I just remember you all looking so happy!

We went on this in June and had the same perk ! We also discovered some unknown attractions like the Statue of Liberty tableau in Liberty arcade:goodvibes

We also attended the studio one one the day Crush's Coaster/Cars opened which was taken by an imagineer :cool1: .It was really good .

I would really recommend them but I much preferred the studio tour as it was a lot more historical and full of little facts (i love that kinda stuff):goodvibes

Oh but you are now....... well, on the DIS at least! :yay:

Glad you enjoyed this ~ after such good feedback from other DISers we are planning on doing both tours next summer.
