park-to-park busses

I'm working on our schedule, and I have a park-hopping question.

I used ourlaughingplace to research bus times between parks, but I don't know how much time to build in for *waiting* for buses to arrive.

Do they come as frequently as resort buses?

Specifically, we'll be midday hopping from Epcot to AK one day, and I think I'm cutting it close. We plan to do Epcot EMH and ride:
Soarin' (rope drop)
TT (single rider)
Mission
Sum
Spaceship Earth (if time)

and our first FP+ at AK is booked for 11:00 am.

Touring plans estimates it will take us 2 1/2 hours to ride those 5 rides at Epcot, so finished by 10:30. If that's true, we'll be fine, but I worry a long wait for a bus to AK could make us miss our 11a FP+.

Plan on a 20 minute wait time for the bus to arrive. Also don't forget about the time it takes to walk out of Epcot and into AK. I would allow no less than one hour. I personally think you will be cutting it too close, but I could be wrong.

Thank you! This confirms what I was thinking... that we need closer to an hour of travel between parks to be safe.

I think we'll probably skip Spaceship Earth unless we're way ahead of schedule.

Is the fastpass for 11-12 or 10-11? Because if it is 11-12 you are perfectly fine. Not that I recommend it, but we have been 15 minutes late (12:15 in your case) and still been allowed to ride. In other words, enjoy your trip and dont stress too much.

The times are not a rigid as others on this board make them out to be. If you are happy and respectful, cast members are almost always willing to make your trip magical.

I was going to say the same thing. If your first fp is 11 - 12, then even if it took an hour, you'd still be fine if you left at 10:30. Make it to AK by 11:30 (worst case scenario), then onto the ride by 12. As long as you're there by 12, you're fine. And like others have said, there *usually* is a 15 minute grace period.

Honestly? I wouldn't use the OLP site for reliable travel times. It is waaaay off on many of them. And gives routes that people should never use, unless they want to spend hours sight-seeing, instead of in the parks.

Not sure now but when I was driving, there was a minimum of 3 busses assigned to the TTC route for Studios and AK. This way, one would be at TTC while one was at AK/Studios and one was on the road. The waiting bus at TTC would leave when the road bus arrived. The park bus left when full or when the TTC bus arrived. This let us keep to that 20 minute schedule.

Now that the buses are at the MK, it may be different but I hope not. That system worked well.

IMHO I have never ever spent less than a full 30 mins.,in the soarin' line, this is with FP, with "no one" else in front of us,just one group moving through. that line is LONG,just walking the path,then waiting,etc.
These times don't seem realistic at all to me,unless you are literally running between each attraction. Just the walking from Soarin' to TT is about 5-10 mins at a normal leisure pace..... TT can be done quickly single rider, if it's low crowds, but don't underestimate the length and distances for walking. (or in this case,running) OP I think 11 is too early at AK.

oops, sorry, original ??? was the buses, we have done it many times, and never had to wait too long for one...but I always budgeted an hour in between just in case(it never took that long in our case)

The FP+ is 11-12, so I think I'll be okay. I agree about the hour buffer between parks to account for walking and waiting. Good advice!
