We have paper e-ticket park tickets. I'm confused on how these work. It says we take them directly to the turnstiles where they will be scanned and voided. Do they give us different tickets then there to use for the duration of our trip?? Thank you!

Yes, just take them to the same turn styles everyone else is using to get into the park and they will quickly replace them with normal tickets that you'll use during your entire trip. We've done it many times.

Have a great trip!

Thank you! Used to having our magic bands at WDW. This is a whole new experience for us! :)

It works pretty much like WDW before MBs. When WDWchad their own cardstock like tickets used for park admission and FP machines. DLR still uses those but also now you can use their app.

When you get to the turnstiles, you will hand your current paper e-tickets to the CM who will scan them and give you a paper ticket (about the size of a credit card, printed on card stock). The CM will then take your photo with a handheld device to attach digitally to your ticket. All this should take about 2 minutes or less. Once you go through the turnstiles, you can then purchase MP via the app, if you don't already have MP prepurchased. Have a credit card already on file on the app to make this easier (and that will allow you to use Mobile Ordering, too). Scan your paper tickets into the app, then put them in a safe place (waterproof place, if you will be doing water rides). Very, very rarely, the app can lose your tickets, so you might need to rescan them. And take a photo of each ticket with a clear image of the bar code. In case your tickets get lost/stolen/eaten by the app, you will be able to replace them easily and quickly at Guest Services using the photos.

At Disneyland they, sadly, do not have Magic Bands, but, what you should do is activate the Disneyland App on your phone (you can download the official app on any phone service store), and then use it to SCAN or write in the Ticket Numbers/Bar Codes for ALL the tickets in the party.

Once you do this, then when it comes to using your Fast Passes, you can just click on the Disneyland App on your phone, click on My Tickets and bring up the tickets for EVERYONE in your party. This helps a lot, to check in for Fast Passes. It also helps a lot for Park Entry, because when you go to the gate, you can show them the bar code that the App brings up, and use that as your ticket. Having it on the phone is great, especially if someone loses their tickets or leaves them back at the hotel.

If you don't want to download the app and use it, then, AT THE LEAST, you should take a picture of the Bar Code on the back of EVERYONE'S tickets. In a pinch, just bring up that picture on your phone screen, and they can usually scan it and let you in.

DO be aware that the Disneyland app (and the Disney World app) is power intensive. It will drain your phone at least 1 1/2 to 2% per hour, minimum, while it is running, even in the background. And you have to be very careful to check and make sure it is shut off when you are not using it. Find out how to search for and shut down apps running in the background. You should use whatever function your phone has to KILL the app when you are not using it. I have a cell phone that I can charge in the morning, and 24 hours later, after a day of regular use, it usually still has 25% battery. But with these apps, my batteries would often be drained by afternoon or evening. (So, yeah, also take some auxiliary battery packs/battery boosters that you can get at Amazon, Wal-Mart or Best Buy. Try to get a battery pack that is a minimum of 10,000 mAmp hours or better yet, 20,000 mAmp hours. Then I also use that to charge my IPAD, Kindle, etc.)

Another option is to use the Fuel Rod vending machines located in both parks and in the on site hotels (Help me understand how fuel rods work). Easy to use and you can always have a fully loaded Fuel Rod ready to go when needed.
When downloading the DLR app, make sure you're getting the latest version. The app just had an update today.

After losing one of our ticketws one time, we take a quick pic of them all. Comes in very handy if you need to replace them.

We have found tickets on the ground numerous times.
Me too -- probably ten times. Once one was a three-day park hopper, another was issued to a Club 33 member. In all cases, I turn them in to a CM.

Wow. A 3 day? I hope those people were able to get the situation fixed. We've only found 1 days. Also turned them into a CM.
