Just a question about the park tickets---I know that on Disney Cruise Line you have your Key to the World Card, and that is pretty much the only card you need on the ship...Does it work the same way for WDW, or will you have multiple cards...Like one for the hotel, one for the parks, etc...Just trying to figure out how many cards we'll have to keep up with. Also, besides the obvious, like purchasing anything that you need to be of age for, is there any need to have your ID while in the parks??
Thanks! We are planning our FIRST trip to the world at the end of August, so I have no clue about all this stuff! :sad2:

Depends of the kind of ticket.
AP's are generally thier "own" ticket.
Many other tickets can be "put onto" your resort key-card.
That same card can be used for purchases at stores, restaurants and parks at WDW.

As for ID... good idea to ALWAYS have access to your ID.

If you lose a ticket (forget it in a FastPass machine, for instance), you can go to Guest Relations and get a new one (and the old one voided) in minutes... IF you have your legal ID.

If you stay on site, you can put your park admission on your room key and you can link your Credit Card to your room key. So you can use your room key for your room, getting in the parks (it acts as your ticket and goes directly into the machine), and for buying things in the parks. Also, if you stay on site, when you buy stuff, you can have it sent to your hotel, so you dont have to carry it around all day.

We are getting the Park Hopper tix with the waterpark and more option, so I wasn't sure if we could have one ticket for all of that. It sure would be nice it we can!

If you put tickets with no exp on your room key, do you just keep your room key until your next visit? What if it gets lost? Is there a record of it somewhere, and for how long?

If you have no exp tickets with days you're not going to use in one trip, is it better to keep the paper tickets?

You can use your card to get into ALL parks including water parks, to keep your credits for your dining plan if you're on it so it's used as a credit card and points just deducted as used, as a credit card if you choose at stores, as well as a hotel room key.. all on one card:) All I carried with me in Sept was my ID and my disney card (room key) and i was all set:)

I would carry an ID with the room key, if their is a problem at the turnstyle with the finger scan thing they can ask for your ID. If your tickets are tied to your room and you get no expiration and don't use them up then yes you need to keep up with you room key for the next trip you plan to use them on.
