Park Tickets Still Needed After Linked To MDE?

Do I need to bring my park tickets even though they are linked to MDE?

If all guests have a MagicBand, then no.

But, it never hurts to have a back-up.
That's up to you.

Regardless, it can be helpful in times of problems at WDW for all guests over 18 yrs. to have a legal photo ID.

On our trip Jan 2014 we had several days of trouble with our tickets on the MBs reading. DD had his ticket as a backup and was able to scan it and enter, I did not and had to go to the back of a long GS line to have them straighten it out for me, then back to the entry line. Last August, neither DGrD nor I had any problems. Then again, this past Nov, both DS-in-L and I each had separate days where our bands were reading no tickets at the scanner. Fortunately I now ALWAYS carry our tickets as back up, so we just scanned them and entered and stopped at GS on the way out to have them, once again, adjust whatever the problem is at the time. I have absolutely no faith in Disney IT at this point - I carry my tickets, receipts for my tickets and keep very good track of what days and where each one was used.
