Park tickets on craigslist ?

I just saw this on craigslist...

The listing says:

Hello----i am selling 4 walt disney 6 day park hopper passes---
----brand new---adult/child--never expire----
asking $125
please no scalpers!
Get in touch if you are interested!


I did email the person asking why they weren't using them and asked for a photo. The price is ridiculously cheap and would save me a buttload if it is legit. I haven't yet researched on phony tickets, has anyone heard of such a thing?

What do the real tickets look like?

I would say do not buy them! Most likely they are not good tickets. It's the old saying if its too good to be true.... There is no way to tell if they have days still on them.

Plus if the person used them once and did the finger scan, when you use it...busted!!

Also ... if they never expire why would you get rid of them? I would never buy tickets off someone I didn't know.

Thanks, my gut was saying it was a scam but sometimes you never know! It did seem fishy that there was no expiration date - why sell them then?

Since we're on the subject... what is the best place to get discounted tickets? I am a AAA member, is that a good deal?

There are quite a few things I have purchased from Craigslist, but Disney park tickets would not be one of them. I'd be leery about buying them from Ebay, but at least with Ebay, the seller has some motivation to be honest because of the feedback system. With Craigslist, the seller will have absolutely no repercussions if they sell you some useless tickets. My advice: don't walk away, RUN!

There are only a few legitimate places to get discount tickets (and that discount is pretty small).

I buy mine through AAA.

There's also Undercover Tourist and Maple Leaf tickets.
