Hi,

We will be arriving for our holiday 11th June 2014 at the Dolphin. We're only just buying our tickets (last minute holiday!) and are having a few issues.

We want to buy the ultimate tickets through the disney website to start FP+ bookings but wanted to know if:

1. The tickets would arrive before the 11th
2. Can we start FP+ before the tickets arrive (if they can)

We arrive at the hotel after 5pm so the ticket desk there shuts, I know you can collect from downtown but we were hoping to get to EPCOT the first night

Sorry if posting the wrong place! Disney lines are shut so asking here as want to order tonight if we can as so close!

Thanks

i can't help you with anything regarding FP+

as for the tickets, when i purchased our 14 day ultimates through disney last year, i received them electronically.
i then had to trade those electronic vouchers in when i got to WDW.

I can't remember which park we went to, but i know we exchanged them at the ticket window at one of the parks.

Disney UK sends e-tickets, so they'll reach you in (no) time :p

from the FAQ on WDTC-UK

How can I link my e-ticket in My Disney Experience?

You can use your e-ticket reference number located under the barcode of your 'Will Call' ticket voucher to link your tickets in My Disney Experience.

so, theoretically you could link those e-tickets and as soon as they're linked you should be able to book FP+ , but that's just theory :p

Thanks for the quick replies!

Final question, is after 5pm too late to pick up the tickets at any of the parks?

Cant wait to get planning!

Find out the answer, we can pick up at yacht/beach club on the way to EPCOT as dolphin ticket desk would be closed

you can trade in your eticket will call voucher at any park that is open.

we came at night also.

as long as the park is open, the ticket window is open

last year was the first time i used the 14 day ultimate will call voucher (before that i'd received actual tickets).

i thought the ticket person wouldn't know what they were - but no problem.
i handed them to her and she did it all in the blink of an eye.
very fast and she'd clearly seen a zillion of them before mine.

I don't think you will be able to pick up your actual tickets at Yacht/Beach club but you would be able to collect them from Guest Services at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot (between Beach Club and Boardwalk) or from Guest Services at Downtown Disney.

Sorry to jump on this thread...

But after reading this I now have a question.

I've booked my tickets through the Disney site and have linked them to MDE. I will be arriving at my disney hotel (Swan) at around 6/7pm (I made the booking separately through Thomas Cook, but have linked the booking to MDE as well)

Then I have a booking the following morning at 8.20am at The Crystal Palace. Which is before the park opens.

So my question is will I have time/a place to pick up my tickets before my reservation or should I try and move my plans around???

You will either be able to do what I suggested above and pick up your tickets at the Epcot International gateway or you can collect them at Guest Services outside Magic Kingdom before entering the park for your Crystal Palace reservation. Bear in mind, there may well be a bit of a line at Magic Kingdom whereas it is unlikely you will have a wait at International Gateway. It will really depend how tired you are when you arrive and whether you can be bothered to walk down to IG to collect your tickets. The other option is that, if you intend to purchase MagicBands, you can get the MagicBands from the shop at Swan/Dolphin and then, as long as your tickets are linked on MDE, you won't need the actual tickets as you can just use the band to enter the park.

Thanks for all the replies!

Turns our you can also collect them from the yacht/beach/boardwalk hotels after 5pm, called the yacht club and they said can pick up Will Calls tickets from the lobby after 5pm, not sure exactly till when, I said we'd be there around 7pm and they said that was fine.

So K8Davies you'd be able to walk to the boardwalk (or to yacht/beach if they cant do it) when you get to the swan, save a walk to the gateway

On another note, still not received the second confirmation email from disney with the ticket numbers, is this normal? Coming up to 24 hours now. We normally just buy at the parks so not used to this

This is interesting, I have never heard of being able to collect actual tickets from the Disney hotels, I always thought they couldn't print the tickets there. I would be prepared to have to walk to IG just in case. Please report back after your trip to confirm whether or not you were able to collect your tickets from the Yacht/Beach Club, thanks :)
