What is the best place to buy park tickets? Any deals or promotions to be aware of before our stay? We are a family of five booked for 3 nights at Royal Pacific in August. Thanks!
When comparing ticket prices, be aware that Universal does not include the tax on their listed prices, while sites like Undercover Tourist often do. i usually use UT, there is often a link in the mousesavers newsletter to get a couple of extra bucks off. Universal has discounted tickets if you buy online, UT is currently $270.95 for adult 3 day park to park, while the Uni website has it for $303.52. (This does not include Volcano Bay tickets).
Looks like Uni also has a few current promotions until Sept - for a 5 day, 2 park park-to-park ticket for the same price as the 3 day, and a 5 day one park per day ticket for $239.62. You could not park hop or ride Hogwarts Express with that one though. Need park to park to ride the train.
I upgraded my 3 day ticket to an AP a few years ago to take advantage of the room discounts available to AP holders. You may want to check APH rtaes for your RPR dates and see if it would save you anything, you do not need to have the AP already to check and book the discount.
We’re trying to figure this out as well for a family of four for 3-day park-to-park access. I plan to purchase one AP for the hotel AP rate and thinking through the following for the other three:
- apply AP discount to gate price (no idea how to find gate price)
- buy from UT
- try to figure out the Universal website “lowest price guarantee” (my guess is you can show the UT pretax pricing and pickup a gift card for the difference from guest services)
