I’m sure this is a repeated question on a well covered topic and for that I apologize, but……. Does anybody know what the DVC discount is on the UMP tickets? I can’t seem to locate that information on the DIS or the DVC member site. We’re leaving Thursday for a five-day trip to the BWV and I’m debating what’s the better deal: the Park Hopper Plus discount through the Disney Club or the UMP discount through DVC. (Figure we’re going to hit Pleasure Island at least twice)
If anyone out there has any insights they would surely be appreciated. Thanks.

hi: i usually have to get umps for our guests. for 2 adult umps for 7 days/6 nights, the cost was about $595 last month. if you look on the home page, they would've been about $630 with a dc discount. the dvc discount is about 10 % vs. about 5% for dc. you'll only get the dvc discount on the umps though, not on any other passes. have a great time!

Of course, the A.P.s are the best deal if you're going to use the parks more than 8 days/year. We're not so fortunate. We find the Hoppers to be much more attractive than the UMPS. During a 7 day stay, we generally hit the parks/waterparks only for 4 days. Any extra days left on the Hoppers can be carried over indefinitely into the future; with the UMPS, it's "use it or lose it".

Yes, unfortunately we won’t be back soon enough to make the AP’s a viable option. I’m thinking that the UMP’s will be the way to go considering we’ll be hitting the parks each day of our stay. Thanks for all the help!

The UMP (with 10% DVC discount) can be an especially good deal if you will go to waterparks, PI and/or DQ- which are all included with that pass. We found this year, on two occasions, that the UMP was cost effective for up to 9 days as compared to an AP. As long as you're going into the parks each day and will use PI or DQ in the evening, it works very well.

You can compare the ticket prices right here at DIS. Just be sure to deduct the 10% discount from the UMP prices!

Enjoy!

Can you take a day off the UMP with DVC discount? We won't be arriving until around 8 pm, so it doesn't make any sense for us to pay for the first day. If not, I'd rather buy them in advance and start paying them off.
