I am at my wits end. We are leaving Saturday morning for Disney. DH changed plans and my DD and I are now flying. We are arriving at the Sanford Airport (SFB) which Magic Express does not service. Does anyone know of a car service/car rental that is decently priced. The best rate I can find is a shuttle van that is $70 to Orlando and $86 back.

Also, park tickets. Is it to late for me to purchase discounted tickets? If not where?

And finally I wanted to do the Photopass+ but that required a 14 day prepurchase. Can I get that at the park?

Thanks to all,

Patricia

Try the transportation board for Sanford recommendations. That price from Sanford looks okay I think. We have paid $120-150 for car service (not shuttle) from MCO.

Tickets you are really too late for discounted ones since you're leaving in 2 days. If you had a car, maybe.

PP+ can be purchased at Disney, but full price, no preorder discount.

Hit your local AAA office for discount tickets...prices aren't all that different than UT. If you don't have a membership ask your friends. Don't forget that the AAA tickets come with tax included, something to consider when comparing to the wdw gate price.

I think you might find it's a lot cheaper to just rent a car from Sanford. Even if you don't use it on property, it is likely to be cheaper for a week rental than for car service. Or rent from one of the places that has an office on property or nearby, and rent one way from Sanford to Disney, and then from Disney back to Sanford. It's an easy drive.

You said a shuttle to "Orlando". Is that actually to your Resort or is it to some other place.

Actually, your best bet might be to rent a car.

If you do rent the car, you will be able to go and get the discounted tickets. Be sure to check the last minute specials directly at each rental car company website.:thumbsup2

I used Undercover tourist in the past and the pick up was super easy and savings was worth the drive. It is just a bit north of Universal.

When it comes to renting a car you have to watch out for the one way rentals, a lot of the companies add on a one way fee (fee for returning the car) A round trip rental might be better.
