I will be visiting Disney World in October. If you stay at one of the Disney Resorts (which makes you eligible for Extra Magic Hours) and have a park ticket with Park Hopper, do you still have to purchase a separate ticket for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? pirate:

Yes, you do have to purchase tickets for any Special Events. They are a hard ticket event; an after hours event.

It doesn't matter that you are staying onsite and have regular park tickets.

It has nothing to do with EMH.

Yes you do need to buy a special ticket. Both the halloween party and the christmas party are special events that require a separate ticket. I also have a park hopping pass for my trip in October and I needed (& did) purchase a separate ticket for the halloween party. You can get the halloween party tickets by calling Disney. They will mail them out to you within a couple of days of your order. By the way, for both the halloween party & christmas party, you need to pick a specific day and your ticket will be for the party on that day only.
