Park Tickets and Homeschool Days

We are planning on going to the January homeschool days. I have been looking at the pricing, and it seems as though a five day ticket is as high as it goes. We'd like to spend the week, so want 7 or 8 day tickets. Can you upgrade the homeschool tickets to more than 5 days at the discounted price, if at all?
If I have to buy the 7 day tickets at full price, I will need to rethink our plans for the week.
Any help would be very appreciated.

When I checked on this in September, I was told that those tickets cannot be upgraded. They are a special rate, so the best you can do is the 5 day park hopper w/ water park option that gives you 10 days total, but of this, only 5 are in the parks. You can always call the number on the homeschool ticket website and double-check for January, but as of September, you could not upgrade at all. Sorry.

Are there school activities (organized sports, lectures, laboratory, tour) on some of the days? You might take a day or two with a lot of non-park activities and make it a totally non-park day rather than use up one of the 5 days on the ticket for that.

For those of you who have been, do you have to use one of your park ticket uses to attend the classes? I'm guessing you do in order to get to the class (all in the parks). This will be our first time going. I really don't want the premium tix, because I can't imagine water parks in Jan., and we're not Quest people.
