If you buy the tickets from disney in advance they either mail them or you pick them up at the gate. If you wait until yu get there they add them to your room key at the front desk. Is there a way to get the tickets in advance and still have them added to your room key? can you use one of the discount ticket brookers and get them added to your room key?

Any resort concierge or park guest relations location can add your ticket to your room key.

Interesting. The disney dvc rep said I should wait and do it at the front desk or I would have to carry two cards.

You can purchase tickets online. The tickets are mailed to you. Don't lose that ticket! When you arrive, bring the ticket and they can add your tickets onto your key to the world card.

If your doing a split stay or changing rooms, don't have it attached to your room key because it then needs to be transferred to your new room key. Their computer systems don't "communicate" with each other and it ends up being a huge hassle.

My understanding is that only unused tickets can be transferred to the room keys, so if you've used a day, they will not transfer them.

What happened with us is some people in our party had 4 day hopper passes and we stayed 2 nights in a GV and 2 nights in a 2 BR at BWV, so when we initially checked in it was offered for them to have the hopper passes added onto their room keys. Then when we changed rooms (basically checked out and checked in again), they had to have their hopper passes changed to the new room key, and it was a mess.....

I most often have an AP so that stays separate, but I also prefer to keep the 4 or 5 day tickets separate from the room key. It's not that much to keep track of.

We are planning on doing the 7/4 deal at Beach Club, then moving to AKV DVC for 4 nights. If we buy the 10 day tix + waterparks, does anyone know how the tix are handled? Will they give us tix separate from our key cards when we check into BC, and if so, can we still get into Magic Hours? Thanks for any info. on your experiences.

I would keep the tickets separate and not have them transferred onto your room card. You can still use the extra magic hours because for those you just have to show your room key from a Disney resort.
