Park Ticket Selection

Hello wonderful DISers! I'm calling on you all for ticket advice. We will be at WDW 6/22-7/4 this summer. We will be staying off site the first week (Orange Lake) followed by 5 nights at POR.
My question is this: 8 day park tickets or 5 day + Waterpark and more?
Please provide your insights in helping us make our decision. It will be myself, DH, DS (10), DD (9), and DS (7).

I'd do a six day ticket and WP+M addition.
Two days at MK, two days at your other favorite park, one day each at the others. Then use the WP&M tickets to break up the trip with visits to BB and TL and even DQ.
