When we did a DVC add-on a while back, we were given three one day park passes as an incentive. Can these tickets somehow be "traded-in" and let their value apply to a single mult-day park hopper pass?

I don't believe so. They were incentive tickets, which means that they have no trade-in value. You didn't pay anything for them, so there's no way to put their "value" towards a new pass.

They look like just regular old one day, one park passes. Wouldn't they be worth the current value of that kind of pass?

Yes ... but they have a code on them that indicates that they were incentive tickets. You did not pay for them (I'm assuming .... ); therefore, they have no value for trade-in. You can certainly try, but it's my understanding that any comps given out -- whether for prizes, incentives, special offers, etc -- cannot be traded in for new tickets.

The value is encoded onto the magnetic strip on the back. It can only be read by Guest Relations, Guest Services/Lobby Concierge or the Disney resort front desk. They will tell you definitively once they scan the ticket what, if any, value those tickets are towards upgrading. Just because a ticket allows entry for one day doesn't mean that it's value equals the one day cost. Those are two completely separate things.

Shucks. Well I guess we'll just figure out which parks we wouldn't want to park hop to and do those on days by themselves and then get park hoppers for the other days. That would work. Thanks for the info.
