Park Ticket Question?

I have a room only reservation and am curious about buying my park tickets. Should I call back to reservations and try to have them put them on my room as well? Or should I buy them separately and bring them myself? My question pertains to EMH's how does it work if your tickets are not on your room?

first of all you should jion AAA if you have not all ready done so.
They still give the best tickets prices....
Second...There is one park a day that has EMH if you have tickets and go to the correct park your in early!!!

I just spoke with AAA on the phone and you can get a 4 day park hopper with tax for $224.00
THE PLUSVERSION IS $262.00
The Disney store is $234.00 plus tax for the hopper and $282.00 plus tax for the plus version.

I made a room only reservation and then also got the AAA discount, I split the reservation as I am going 8/24-9/4. So I booked 4 nights in regular season and the rest on value season. I got the discount for both ressies. Also I did buy tickets separately and she just added them to my room and said they would all be on my room key when I get there. The benefit of also doing it this way she said was with the package you have 45 days to cancel with the room only and separate tickets I have 5 days before I arrive to cancel everything and get my money back (not that I am planning on canceling!!). If you need the name of the person I had who was excellent and the number to reach her let me know. She was excellent and knew EXACTLY what she was talking about!

Those prices sound high...A 10 day MYW ticket with hopping and plusses is only $277 off the Disney site if you buy in advance.

I went to AAA.com and it looked like they were just selling the park hoppers.
The Magic your way tickets are cheaper on they wdw site!!

I haven't bought mine yet, so don't know, but I think the $277 for a 10 day is pretty good-especially compared to the old prices. That is the advance sale price.

A base ticket for a 4 day ticket, no options included would be $185 per ticket plus tax. To add the non expiration feature, that would increase it to $200 plus tax. To add the hopper option along with the no expiration option would cost $235 plus tax, and to have everything (with would include 3 Magic Plusses), would cost you $280 plus tax. If you don't add on the no expiration, that would save you $15. Not adding the Magic Plus option saves you $45. So, to give you what you the prices for what you were quoted by AAA if you bought the tickets through Disney, they would be $265 for the hopper with the magic plus and without would be $220 without tax. They would expire 14 days from the 1st use, unless you purchase the no expiration feature.

The interesting thing is that no matter how many days your purchase the price for the hopper and the Magic Pluses stay the same, at $35 and $45 respectively. With the Magic Plusses, the amount of magic plusses you get go up with the amount of days in the park... for example, a 1-3 day Magic Plus pass with give you 2 visits to a Magic Plus option, a 4 or 5 day Magic Plus pass with give you 3 visits to the Magic plus options, the 6 day will give you 4 visits and the 7-10 day passes with Magic Plus option will give you 5... no matter, it will always be $45!

The only option that goes up in price with the amount of days on your pass is the no expiration option, which will basically cost you $10 for 2-3 days, $15 for 4 days, $35 for 5-6 days, $45 for 7 days, and $100 for a 10 day pass.

I have read here that some AAA's are still selling the old Park Hoppers, so make sure you know which tickets you are getting when you purchase them!

I had this same question when I was planning my ticket ordering. I asked AAA and they said although it states "Park Hopper" on the site, they are actually MYW tickets. They no longer sell Park Hopper. I bit mis-leading if you ask me. Also, at my AAA, it is $7 more per ticket ("7 Day Premium") than if ordering in advance at disney.com. Just something to keep in mind.

Park hoppers may still be available in a few stores or travel agencies but they are not a good buy if you also need a Magic Your Way pass to finish the vacation with.

If you buy a MYW pass and later decide you want more days, you can "add more days" for as little as three dollars apiece. (to a maximum of ten including the days already consumed, and within 6 days of first usage, someone said within 13 days I'm not positive).

Personally, I think it is best to get the tickets yourself. As far as how it works for EMH, you just have a park ticket that is separate from your room card...... you are already in the park when you get your wristband, so all you have to do is show your roomcard (and now Epcot is asking for picture ID).

There are alot of discount ticket brokers online and some are recommended by www.mousesavers.com

WOW, can this get more confusing? I have planned a quick anniversary trip with my wife in June. By quick I mean we fly in friday afternoon and fly home Sunday morning.

My question is, we will have a few hours to spend in Disney on Friday night. I want to spend the entire Saturday at MK. (no time sunday) What should we do Friday night? What are my options? Is there a twilight admission to MK?

We may spend Friday night at downtown. If we do, where is the best non-admission place to watch any of the fireworks?

You could always buy the most days for MYW tickets and get the non-experation option. That's what DH and I are doing for our trip. As for fireworks, you could have dinner at CA Grill and watch the fireworks from there. DH and I did this last year and it was truly beautiful! Or you could head to PI that Friday night and have fun there. But knowing how DH and I are, we would most definitiely go to MK that first afternoon-evening. No matter what!

Good info, but I am confused a bit. For a room only you have 5 days for cancellation for both the room and the tickets if I put them on the room? That was what I was thinking of..putting it on my room. When I attempted to do that when I initially booked the reservation the reservationist said I had to have a package and that upped my rate by $1000! So I said, forget I'll get the tickets elsewhere. It would be great though to have it all done right there at the hotel!

I value the ten theme park days at $30. apiece and the five plus visits at $12. apiece.

Actually I would count points for and allocate the non-expiration only among the days and plusses remaining after the first vacation, but that makes the math more complicated.

I was just figuring the "Plusses" in for the $24 per day because Disney Quest costs $32 and I think the Water Parks are almost $30 ??
However, I agree ........ to me the "plusses" don't have much value because I really don't like Water Parks at all (but our kids do) and I really dislike Disney Quest.
