I have 4 adults and 1 child going to disney. We are staying in a 1 BR Villa together. 2 adults are renting a car so that they can go off property a couple of days. Is it possible to buy a 6 day ticket for 2 adults and an 8 day ticket for the other 2 adults? We booked through Disney and are also contemplating the DDP.

The easiest thing would be to buy the 6-day (or whatever the lowest number of days desired is) for everyone, then just upgrade to more days once you get there for those that want more days.

I would simply purchase the tickets you want separately either through Disney or a reputable third-party ticket seller like Undercover Tourist (which will save you a little money). Then link those tickets to MDE to make your FP+ reservations (make sure you pick "will call" when you purchase your tickets). If you want the dining plan, you can then call Disney and ask for a "ticketless package" and simply add the dining plan for everyone.

If you add 6-day tickets to your package, those who want 8 days of parks will not be able to reserve those extra two days of FP+ until they upgrade the tickets at the resort. Not the best plan if you want to get FP+ in advance of your trip.
