Hi!

I am going into complete meltdown trying to plan three trips. Our "expected" trip to Orlando is October is fine (thankfully I planned it about a year ago :lmao:), but at the weekend my dad booked to take us all to Disney at Christmas, and I also booked next years trip to the West Coast, where we plan on spending 4 days at Disneyland.

Can anyone point me towards the weekly ticket price thread someone always posts . . . I can't find it :confused3 - that should help with the Christmas trip (we already have tickets for October). We are only going to need 7 day tickets, so I am wondering if Magic Your Way would be cheaper when we arrive, rather than buying them from Disney UK now . . . tho I can't seem to find any MYW ticket prices online!:confused3

Alternately someone mentioned a joint Disneyworld / Disneyland annual pass that can now be bought, which may be a better idea. Anyone know anything about that - apparently I am having a really dumb day because I can't find it online anywhere!!!:):goodvibes

Here is the ticket prices thread I try to do as often as possible - is this the one you mean??

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2501567

I am due to leave the boat and get back home tomorrow, so will be putting an updated one up over the weekend. I gave up trying to do it whilst away as the internet connection is so slow it takes far too long for the pages to load. Oh - that and the fact I am at work of course :rolleyes1

I also have a spreadsheet that I update with the current prices. All you need to do is input how many of each different ticket you want (and the current exchange rate if you are buying tickets that are priced in $'s) and it keeps a running total for you. Let me know if this will be of any use to you.

I know it seems to be pot luck about whether you can upgrade the 14-day tickets while there, but what about trying to upgrade it to an annual pass when there in October?

That way, it would cover you for Christmas (and right up until October next year, should you decide to go again ;) ). If it doesn't work though, you won't have lost anything, and you can just come home and buy the 7-day one as planned?

Sorry - me again!!

Getting my tickets sorted for October this time. I was looking at buying a one-day front of line pass for IoA to make sure we get to do all of WWoHP, as its the only reason we're going there. The following is under the "restrictions" section. Would you read it as the restrictions only apply to hotel guests? I don't want to fork out for a FoL pass then not be able to use it on one of the rides!!

*On-site hotel privileges good for hotel stay as indicated on the room key card. Paid theme park admission required. Excludes separately ticketed events. Good for the number of guests staying in the room. Express ride access not available at Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™. Express ride access available during normal theme park operating hours only. Some attractions excluded. Additional restrictions may apply and benefits are subject to change without notice. Access may be restricted during certain times at certain attractions.

The asterix does come next to this heading, so I think its hotel guests only. Which ends my second plan of booking a hotel room as a surprise for Tony!!

Stay On-site and Skip the Regular Lines for FREE*

As far as I am aware, there are three types of tickets you can get, depending if you are a regular guest of hotel guest.

1) Universal ExpressSM (no restrictions) - available to hotel guests only, and allows you unlimited front of the line access to all participating rides.

2) Express Plus Pass (with restrictions) - purchase this one on top of your regular park entry ticket, and can be bought by anyone. There are restrictions on this ticket though - you are allowed to enter the front of the line only ONCE on each of the participating rides. (Should be the option you need if just going as regular entry, as opposed to hotel guest)

3) Park-to-Park/1Park tickets - just your basic run of the mill entry ticket to either both parks or one park, which allow you NO access to the front of the line!

Don't forget that not all rides are participating in the FoL access thing! Rides that do at IoA are:

* The Cat In The Hat™
* One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish™
* Caro-Seuss-el™
* Poseidon’s Fury®
* The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad®
* Dragon Challenge™
* Jurassic Park River Adventure®
* Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls®
* Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges®
* The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man®
* Doctor Doom’s Fearfall®
* Storm Force Accelatron®
* Incredible Hulk Coaster®
* Flight of the Hippogriff™

Not included:
* Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™
* Pteranodon Flyers®

That is the same for hotel ExpressSM or regular Express pass holders!

As far as I know there isn't any FOL on the Harry Potter rides! Dueling Dragons yes, but not the HP ride so if that's your sole reason for buying it there won't be much point. You will get to use it on most other rides though. We had it as we stayed at RPR but there's still one or 2 rides that don't include it, Rip Ride Rockit being another one.

There is no FOTL access/express access to either Forbidden Journey or Hollywood rip Ride Rockit, whether you stay onsite or purchase the express pass. Basically, if you are looking to book an onsite hotel for FOTL, you will be no worse off than if you purchase the express passes and stay offsite.

Only the Express pass you can buy is only valid for one go on each ride, whereas the on-site benefit is unlimited :thumbsup2

As hotel guests they let us into WWof HP an hour and a half before other park goers, and yes the express pass you buy is only good once for each ride. As already said,there's no expressline for FJ.
