park ticket advice please

I booked 5, 14 day ultimates with Ocean Florida online and paid by credit card....I received no email confirmation but a day later I received a phone call from Alex in their office, informing me that I had to chose an activation date and that I would be sent vouchers by email, which I then have to exchange at Thoms Cook on 8701 West Irlo Bronson Highway, by the George & Dragon....
Has anyone else done this, as I feel pretty stupid as its my 12th trip and Ive never done this before, advise on this situation would be appreciated as I have no online confirmation of this transaction...thank you.

Gail I would cancel your tickets with ocean- florida, thats too much messing about to go and get your tickets and have an activation date-whats all that about?? :confused2
go with another company and get real tickets so then you can activate them when you want to, without the pressure of having to choose a date.
you paid with a credit card so it shouldnt be a problem cancelling

Just been on their site and looked averywhere, also done a dummy booking. Can't find anywhere you have to collect tickets, I think this is totally unacceptable.
Never in 16 years have I had to collect tickets anywhere but with Disney.

You will have to look at the prices elsewhere and see if its worth the savings you have made to collect them, thay did look good prices what I saw. If you can buy elsewhere as cheap or cheaper and you can cancel with O-F then I would.

Just can't believe there is no warning(maybe I missed it) not everyone drives.

just found 14 day ultimates with orlando attractions £213 and they are real tickets

No way would i want to waste time collecting tickets ! the saving would have to be huge to make that worthwhile

We have annual passes but needed to organise tickets for other members of our party this week. Ocean Florida was one of the places I looked at for Ultimate tickets and I am so glad we didn't buy from them now. I also did not see anywhere on their site that mentioned having to collect the tickets but it also didn't say whether they were tickets or vouchers so that put me off immediately.

In the end I logged onto Virgin Holidays and added 21 Day Ultimates to our booking for £210 each - bargin

Virgin have been had prices since before Xmas, we got 7 day Premium ticket for DMIL at Xmas thru them it was £170 less 10% FVC disc, paid £153 which was a massive £50 cheaper than ATD.
They used to have a link to buy tickets only but can't find it anymore, maybe you can only buy with a holiday now, anyone bought ticket only recently?

Just been on the page that lists all the ticket prices and I too can't see anywhere to buy them. DW had to log into our account in order to add them to the booking so maybe that is the only way they will sell them now.
Shame really as at those prices they would definately get some takers.

just to keep you informed regarding advise from some of you.
I have just rang ocean florida to cancel the tickets because I wasnt informed on the website that these were not full tickets but vouchers to be redeemed at thomas cook villa registration on 192 twoards highway 27, quite a distance from where i am staying. I was asked why and i explained about the voucher situation, the bloke on the phone said that they are all vouchers now, there are no real tickets!! YES, I told him that was rubbish, and that i would be ringing on monday morning to speak to the appropriate people. My credit card company have told me that i have a 14 day cooling off period, but nothing can be done now till monday, when i speak to ocean florida again.

I am disgusted that they have tried to pull the wool over my eyes regarding no real tickets anymore, and that I was expected to travel to the other end of the 192 to redeem the vouchers. I for one will never touch this company again, there is nothing on the website informing customers that these are vouchers and not tickets.

Update...
I received a telephone call yesterday from the Manager of Ocean Florida informing me that the Director has approved a full refund of my tickets without any cancellation charge, and that I should receive all monies back by Friday this week.

thanks everyone!! will re-book with orlandoattractions, and order all the tickets from them.......REAL TICKETS!! to be fair though they have changed their website and it now states that they are selling vouchers...

as to date Gail has still not received her money back from ocean florida after numerous phone calls and promises it still has not been refunded, so she hasnt been able to buy any ultimates from another company...
