We are leaving in a few short days, and we are taking our almost 4 year old. I know she will get tired from all the walking, so we are thinking about taking her stroller. Has anyone used or rented the strollers in the parks? I am thinking it might be easier to rent them then to take her stroller on the plane and on all the buses....I also wondered if the park strollers have space under them to store stuff??

Thanks!

We just got back from our !st trip sept 12-19 and our 5 year old son who never uses a stroller was exhausted our first nught. we rented the a stroller there for the entire time. He used it alll the time. It's $10/day or rent it for the entire trip for $8/day. We rented for the entire trip. They give you a voucher so you can the 'buggy' in each park without waiting in line every time.. It was handy for carrying our stuff too. And we were able to make good time when rushing to make a show, character greeting or ADR as well. We referred to it as a buggy not a stroller since strollers are supposedly for babies! LOL
Have a great trip,

The strollers do not have any storage underneath. They have a mesh bag on the back that will hold small items (nothing too heavy or they will tip backward when empty). The strollers are very easy to handle. They are also low to the ground (which is why there is no storage underneath :) ), so your child can just hop in and out as needed.

The WDW strollers are great IMHO. We always rented. (Through all 5 kids.) If you hop get a voucher and they'll give you another stroller in the second park.

You can read different stroller tips and see pictures of the rental strollers here:

I think there are pros and cons to renting and bringing your own.

We have always used our own stroller and with all of our trips we would have spent hundreds more renting than using our $100 stroller. Since we're kind of frugal that way, we find the financial aspect to be an important one.

On our last trip we didn't rent a car and took the bus everywhere. When the busses were crowded (which on our trip, was most of the time) the stroller was definitely a pain to deal with. Otoh, there were a few times ds fell asleep in it and it was nice to not have to carry him from the park all the way back to the resort. We also used his car seat on the plane and so the stroller was useful for carting all our stuff around the airport as well. Just some food for thought :)

hth!

We rented a stroller everyday we were there in Feb 06. A double because we have DS 6 and DD 3 and we all loved the stroller. Loved the way it pushed, loved the way they could hop in and out actually loved everything about it. We are going again in Feb 07 and this time we are taking all 3 kids and yes we are renting the Dis stroller again. One little tip I learned from the boards is bring a scarf to tie to the stroller so you can pick it out of the crowd easier. :thumbsup2 Helped us out a lot.
