Ok, so I admit it.. I am SUCH a girly girl and I love wearing skirts in warm weather.

Are there any rides within Disney that wearing a skirt would cause a problem... like having a safety harness between your legs, or something like that? Or, are most just rides that have a lap belt or shoulder harness?

(I've been to Disney 2 times, but to be honest, while I am pretty sure that wearing skirts would be ok.. I needed to double check with people that are more knowledgable on the attractions than I may remember)

I know, sorta silly question... but I just had to ask!

You should be okay on all the rides,no harnesses like that.I've worn a skirt to Epcot before and was fine all day! :earsgirl:

Hooray!! I only wear skirts in WDW, as I'm very girly also (kind of think new Stepford Wife...the look, not the actions). I've done every ride in WDW with a skirt on and have been fine. Just be careful not to flash anyone when getting out of ride vehicles that you have to step up from (POTC, IASW). Also, getting in and out of Space Mountain can be difficult if you don't put some effort into keeping you knees close together due to the safety bar. Getting out, I'm sure a few CMs have seen my underwear!

I'm so glad there's someone else who loves skirts! I happen to be obsessed with fashion and can't give in to "function." I've never had a problem wearing a skirt, though, and personally think they're much cooler than wearing shorts or especially capris.

I definitely plan on wearing skirts on my trip - denim skirts, terry cloth skirts, ruffled skirts...

Anyway, I plan on wearing boy-shorts underwear underneath. That way, if something blows up all you'll see are shorts.

Okay, this was on my first WDW trip (20 years ago - I'm dating myself here). I wore a pretty sundress with some floral pattern. It was modest at the top and long enough - not skimpy.

No problems with the rides but what surprised me was the compliments from the CM's. Not just a few but it seemed like all day long. I got the impression some of them appreciated something other than the regular theme park attire. It was awhile before we went back again and I tend toward shorts now but I always remember that day.

Just an idea...how bout skorts. I've found quite a few cute ones at old navy, hollister , abercrombie, and quite a few other stores. I also like the look of a skirt better but I hesitate when we'll be riding rollercoasters and such. I already bought 3 skorts for my upcoming trip.

Thanks everyone, I'm so glad I'll be able to don my girly girl clothes!! princess:
