I will be about 7 1/2 months pregnant when we go to Disney in June (I know, I'm crazy). I read somewhere that they don't allow expectant women on the safari ride at AK. Is this true? I've never been so I don't even know what it's like but it's one of the main things I wanted to do. What other rides/events should I be aware of that I may not be able to do? I'll be with my 2 yr old so I'm not talking/asking about anything more than she would be able to do also. Thanks!

I was allowed to go on it when I was 6 months pregnant. No questions. Not sure about others experiences.

I was actually 8 months pregnant when I rode the Safari ride and nothing was ever said by CMs. Several other riders remarked that it would not be a good time for me to go into labor, but I felt fine. Yes, it was bouncy and bumpy; however, I also had a DD2 at the time and I figured if it was safe for her then it would be safe for me. I had no problems during either of my pregnancies with pre-term labor or false contractions, so I was not worried.

Good luck, have fun and stay hydrated! :)

I just wanted to say have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you after you came back.

Have a nice and safe trip coming. :)

You can ask to sit up front with the driver - that's what a CM recommended when I asked about riding while pregnant. :) It is meant to be less bouncy there - but I can't confirm or deny that - it didn't feel much different to me.

Thanks for all of your input! I'm so glad to hear I'll be able to ride. We're really looking forward to the trip, as it will be our first since small children for both my husband and me. Obviously, I want to be able to participate in as much as possible:yay:

Actually, I was going to suggest that and I can CONFIRM that it is in fact, less bouncy in the front! Way more bouncy in the back...the kids love it back there!

I rode it at 4 months, and riding up front wasn't too bad for my lingering morning sickness, in spite of the rough road.
