Hi
So I've heard that if we are staying at a Disney World resort hotel we don't need a theme park reservation? Is this true?
Can we still only park hop after a certain time?
I have tickets for 5 days and one of those days we don't know where we want to go, we just want to see what we missed and then go to that park, maybe relax in the morning. Would I have to go to a designated park and then park hop?
Please and thank you

Do you have newer dated tickets? If your tickets are good for a range of dates then you don't need park reservations.

However if you have AP tickets or older undated tickets you still need park reservations for your first park of the day or you can't enter until after 2 PM. @summerlvr covered the park hopping part of your question.

I haven't bought the tickets yet, but it will be part of the package with the hotel and dining plans and everything else. Are those dated tickest?

Yes, they will be date based, meaning they start on a specific date and will be good for however many days you choose.
oh ok good then on our rest day we don't have to declare a park first, we can just.......go with whatever we feel like that day.

Wow. Had no idea any tickets still needed reservations. Know as AP we do but we cheat. We don’t make them and enter after 2.
