park reservations issues

I remember seeing a post some time back from someone also having issues making park reservations through their hotel reservations, and now I'm having the same issue. I tried looking for that post since it had a few responses on how to fix the problem, but I haven't been very successful in locating it. I only remember one suggestion being using the site (not the app) and opening up a private/incognito tab to open up the site. I've tried both of these things with no luck, unfortunately. I am able to get under my hotel reservations where it now says "make park reservations" but when I click on it, it does not load, just keeps me on that site. I did notice my pop up blocker was on so I went to switch it off and now I cant even get under my hotel reservations. When I tried the incognito tab, I was able to get to the list where all guest names pop up and I have to choose who will be making reservations, but after I click on the names and press "continue", it, again, does not load, but instead keeps me on the same page.


If anyone knows or can help me locate that post,I'd be so grateful!!

I was having a similar issue a couple of weeks ago. I opened a different browser (I usually use Chrome but switched to Firefox) and it worked that way. The DL site has been having some issues lately and I think it may be due to them updating it recently. I noticed the update when I was looking at the booking screen that shows the nightly prices and it was laid out differently. Also the hotel pages looked different and didn't give me all of the links on my phone but included everything when I tried on my laptop.

I’m not quite sure why my hotel reservations say I’m able to make reservations already when they’re only taking reservations at the moment until Nov 27th (our dates are first week of December). I’ll try again in a few days, hopefully it was just a glitch, but I did notice that using the private tabs worked better so I’ll have to keep that also in mind.

I had that problem too. That is perfectly normal. They only let you do the park reservations 120 days out. The days will open up one at a time as they get inside that window. It's kind of a pain having to go in each day but it will work. This is one area where I wish they would have the same platform for both WDW and DL. At WDW when your window opens up (first day of your reservation) you can pick dates for the whole reservation. Same thing with the Dining reservations. On that first day you can try and get reservations for the whole trip.

When the time comes, also try clearing your cache. It should be under options or settings and may be called “browsing history” or just “history”.

Hi. I was never able to make park reservations under my hotel reservations. I tried various devices and browsers over several days, but it never worked. However, when I went through the regular link to make park reservations (not through hotel) I had no problem. I hope that wasn't a mistake, but I got confirmations for the park reservations so I think I'm ok.

I had the same issue back in June… was never able to get my park reservations from the hotel link, so I just made them without the hotel button. I don’t think it really matters where the reservations are made from, as long as they’re made. It just changes what theoretical “bucket” they’re pulled from, I guess, but I think Disney moves things around as needed so it’s not really an issue. There’s no real benefit to doing it one way or the other, but if any hotel benefits are available, you’ll get them just by staying there, regardless…

I had the same issue, but then realized that the dates just had not opened up yet. Thought I would be able to make reservations yesterday- as last week it told me I could make them after Wednesday- but they still have not opened up the dates yet. I verified by trying the link not using hotel ressies, and it didnt have the dates open yet either. My first date is November 30. If they open one day at a time, looks like it will be a couple more days. So it is less than 120 days.

Why would you/should you make park reservations through a hotel reservation? What is the connection between hotel and park tickets? Sorry, just not understanding.

As long as you have tickets linked and your booking window is open, why not just book the parks you want?

I am not sure why they want you to make a park reservation through the hotel reservation. But I do know my date is now available- but does not work if I try and make a park reservation through my hotel reservation on the app, but does work if I try on my computer. Strange.

I don’t even know what you mean by making them “through” a resort reservation.

There is a page on the website for making park reservations. No connection to resorts.

When I went in to make park reservations, it said if you have hotel reservations click this link first- and then from there a park reservation could be made. I am thinking maybe they have a different "bucket" of reservations available to hotel reservation holders in case they get sold out. So if you have a hotel ressie, you have the choice of clicking the I have hotel reservations link or just making reservations without connecting the two.
