Park Reservations ... Can I wait to make them?

We are planning to go in December 2022. However, I am unsure of how the Covid situation will be and so we might have to postpone the trip. The problem is we are going to use Military Promotional Tickets which expire in December. I have heard that you can apply expired tickets to new tickets, but what if they don't have the promotional tickets for 2023? I'm not sure if I could use the expired Promo tickets. So I want to wait until late summer to make my park reservations when I can see how it is going. What has been your experience this year? Is late summer to late for easily making reservations for December. We will be trying for 2 MK days and 1 day at the other parks. TIA.

Right now, there doesn't seem to be any concern about year-end park reservations. I would just keep an eye on things. If reservations start to fill, you'll need to make a decision about buying tickets. If unused, the Salute tickets still hold value as a credit towards future tickets -- any ticket, not just another Salute.
