Are there any issues with park reservations when upgrading a ticket to an AP? We have an upcoming trip during which we will upgrade 6 day PH to APs. I've made park reservations for the trip but debating when we should do the upgrade. We will need to book an additional day or two at the end of our trip. Concerned I may lose existing reservations when we do the upgrade so wondering if we should wait to until Day 6 of reservations to do the upgrade.

When I upgraded I always did it on the last day possible so the AP would be good longer.

I upgraded mine the 2nd to last day of my trip in April. The only reason I waited so late was because that was when they were just bringing them back and that was the first day they were available. I did not lose my park reservation. Also, the AP started on the first day I used the ticket that I upgraded. I don't remember the actual dates but it was something like I used my PH for the first day on April 18 and upgraded to the AP on April April 21. The AP started and will expire on April 18. (I just made those days up, I could look at the actual dates but am too lazy).

Thanks!

I'm thinking that reservations would still be good. Not really worried too much of losing park days due to parks not being available (and we are flexible on which parks we go to anyway.) I just don't want to run into big hassles by doing the switch and want to be prepared to make reservations if necessary.

APs have always started on the first day that the ticket being upgraded was used NOT the day that you upgrade.
I upgraded once and the AP was actually good for 1 year from the date of the upgrade (had used the ticket for several days prior to upgrading). I realize this was almost certainly CM error, but it can happen.

This was before the pandemic, so I must have got away with one.
