Park Reservation Problems w/DVC and AP

I hope someone can help ... we have DVC reservations for August 16-19, 2022 at the Grand Californian. Today is the first day that I should be eligible to make a park reservation. I signed in and went to my linked hotel reservation. Today the "make a park reservation" button appeared (it wasn't there yesterday). It takes me to the screen to select my party (all three of us are Enchant Key holders), but then on the next page it doesn't show any days available in August for booking (see screenshot with "looking for future dates..." But strangely even when I go back to July, it shows the dates but they are all greyed out as not available. I have no idea what is going on. Have they just not released the dates yet or is it not recognizing my hotel reservation and instead showing me magic key availability (which isn't available yet). So frustrating!

Have you used your allotment for key reservations already? A hotel reservation will not bypass the max number of reservations you’re allowed to hold at one time. That’s the only thing I can think of…

Can you reserve with Magic Key 120 days out with hotel reservation? I thought it was still 90 days out.

120 days before August 16 is April 18 so I think you’re a few days early.

Today is April 13, calendar is only to Aug 11. Count the 31sts. Next Monday....

Your July dates are greyed because while you can book reservations even when regular allotments are full using your hotel bucket, July is blocked out for the Enchant Key, and hotel reservations don't override that.

No, we don't have any reservations right now, but good to know. I didn't realize the hotel bucket didn't bypass.

Ah, got it. Thank you. That makes sense. August 15th or 16th is the first day our pass isn't blocked out--totally forgot about that. I didn't do my own math, I relied on the date that was on my reservation. Super weird that the date it said was wrong and that the link appears today.

To confirm that park reservations have been released for that date, I checked the one day park ticket bucket and I can see availability. To recap, I have a Disney hotel reservation (120 park reservation) and an enchant key. The day I want is not blocked out (August 16), so I think what is happening is the system is trying to do my "bucket" from the enchant key (90 days) versus my hotel reservation at the Grand (120 days). I tried on both my laptop and my phone, but the phone just takes me to the website anyway. Super frustrating!

I went through this months ago and even though others on here have had different results (different browsers, etc.) after trying every suggestion and speaking to multiple cast members (and having the same button appear you did), I was not able to book my reservations until the 90 day magic key window opened even with a hotel reservation. You will likely have to wait until 90 days out to make your reservations.

Ugh. That is so brutal. I didn't have this problem last time so something must have changed. Maybe I'll try another browser. Thank you so much for posting--it helps to know that I'm not alone ... or crazy!

I tried to make the reservations through the link associated with my hotel reservation. It wouldn't give us our dates for reservations. Instead, I went to the theme park reservation webpage, entered my hotel reservation information and then I was able to book theme park reservations.

I just tried that, too, and no luck. Thanks for chiming in with the tip though. Hopefully something will work at some point!

I was under the impression that Magic Keys cannot book further out than 90 days, even with a hotel reservation.

I also have a hotel reservation on the books and a Dream key. Using the hotel bucket, it will only let me book out through July 17 right now. All future dates have a grey slash.

There have definitely been mixed experiences. My understanding is that there are different "buckets" and that if you have a hotel reservation you should pull from that one and be able to do so 120 days out. But as with all things Disney IT, the mileage may vary.

I just commented this on another thread - try using Chrome in incognito mode. This is what a CM suggested to me when I couldn’t get my dates to show. Now if it’s really 90 days for keys, that’s different.
