Today was my first post Magic Key day at the park. Crowds were… quite reasonable. In fact, they were decidedly lower than I expected. In one of the pics below, the crowd - such as it was - at 7:57 (three minutes before rope drop) was surprisingly light for such an auspicious weekend. When you consider that MK reservations were maxed out both yesterday and today, the coming few months should be (ahem) a walk in the park ;-).
We were first on PP. However, the ride didn’t open until about 8:20. We went straight there at RD and were loathe to surrender that prized position. So we waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually it opened and the payoff was as sweet as we’d hoped ;-).
Buzz wouldn’t really cooperate today and it wasn’t until my last game of the day at around 3:45 that I broke 2M. My complaints about the attractions are what they always are so I’ll spare you all my repeating them.
Incidentally, I was a little late to the park today. There was a big accident on the southbound 5. I texted a friend to tell him I’d be late and he replied that the M&Fs structure wasn’t open. He’d parked at Toy Story and said it was faster than M&Fs. I’ve only parked there once in my life when I arrived at the park in the late afternoon. I parked at a friend’s place instead, since I was already late and didn’t want to deal with a line for any parking area. I’d hoped to return to M&Fs today because it would feel like a further step towards restoring normality. Perhaps that will come next weekend.
