Hi,

 I am going to Disney World in August and I was wondering if you are allowed to bring food into the parks? I was looking at these hydration packs for my kids that you can fill with water and I was not sure if they are allowed. Can you bring snacks in or a lunch? Do you have to leave all food or drinks in the lockers? Help. Help.

Thanks

Debbie

You can bring food/drinks into the parks. They normally do not allow glass bottles to enter the parks. Alcohol cannot be brought into the MK for sure (as it is a "dry" park) but I do not know about the others.

We have brought all kinds of prepackaged snacks into the parks. Some folks bring sandwiches. We have not personally done that. The security officers who check you bags will probably smile and make a joke about sharing the yummy stuff with them.

This question comes up so often than I wrote to WDW and got their official answer:
Dear Brian,

Thank you for contacting WALT DISNEY WORLD!

With the exception of food items for guests with specific dietary restrictions, we do not permit guests to bring food and beverage items into our theme parks.
Generally, however, plastic bottles for water, juice, etc. are allowed.

We hope this information is helpful, and we look forward to future opportunities to entertain you.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all correspondence, and allow up to 80 hours for response to E-Mail.

Thank you - and have a DISNEY day!

Sincerely,

William Ferguson

So basically, no, but in practice they're simply trying to prevent folks from bringing in meals, not snacks and drinks.

Alcohol cannot be brought into any of the parks. As a part of being a "responsible vendor" - the only alcohol that can be consumed in the parks is the alcohol disney serves you where availible.
