We are trying to decide what to do for our trip to Disney next month. We have two kids, ages 5 and 2 (almost 3). We are going to be at the parks for two days. What we are not sure about is, should we spend both days at Magic Kingdom? Or should we get park hoppers and hit Animal Kingdom too? Or what about Epcot? I know DF, our son & I would enjoy Epcot, but Im not sure my 2 year old would. Any suggestions? TIA!

Hi and welcome to the Dis! That's a hard call. My kids were both 5 for their first trips to WDW. Both of them loved Epcot at that age. They loved Future World and the kidcot stations. They even loved walking through the countries (although we did skip the 360 movies where you have to stand.)

Does your little one like to color? Will she stay in a stroller while you tour the countries?

Quite frankly I'm not sure you would go wrong with either decision.

MK would be great for two days! You could just wing it. Get two day tickets and see how much they enjoy the MK the first day and then decide twhere to go the next. If you decide to do another park, then I would suggest Animal kingdom for little ones that like animals. I like EPCOT too, and not so much a fan of MGM. We are skipping that one this trip as I think for the most part, my DD2 won't like it as much, and we won't fill a whole day there. We didn't get park hoppers.
For two days I really don't suggest wasting your money on the hopper either.

Thanks for the suggestions! So, you can buy the tickets without having a specific park? Or the tickets for each park are seperate?

Disney sells tickets for park admission. Which park is up to you on any particular day. In other words, there's no such thing as a Magic Kingdom Ticket or an Epcot ticket. It's just tickets good for park admission, period.

The park hopper option allows you to go to two (or more) different parks on the same day.

So the easy answer is, if you are definitely going to do Magic Kingdom one day and then are unsure which park you're doing the second day, stay away from paying the extra $45 for the park hopper option. Remember, you only need the park hopper if you are going to two or more different parks on the same day.

If, on that second day, you think you might want to try two parks on that day (for example, Animal Kingdom and then back to Magic Kingdom), you would have to pay fore the park hopper option, but then you have to decide if it's worth $45 extra per person to "hop" only once.

Thank you!! I didnt know that. I dont see us changing parks in the same day, so thank you for saving me some money! :)
