We're in the early stages of planning DS first WDW vacation! Mom and dad have been plenty of times, so we know what works for us, but of course that most likely will not work for baby :)

How do people find nighttime in the parks working out? We are planning on mid day naps, then heading back out to a park. Did you limit night activities so you could go back to the room and sleep, or did the baby just sleep in stroller?

My son has always been a great stroller sleeper so we were fine to stay out at night. I was prepared to return if he was clearly not happy but it was never a problem.

I've done it both ways. We took our son at 6 months and didn't limit night time activities. We even had late ADRs (9:45pm), and I would just put him in his overnight diaper and pajamas before heading out and he would sleep in his stroller. We took him back at 11 months and at this point he needed the consistency of us keeping his normal bed time since he no longer napped well in the stroller. I think it really depends on the baby and how they do in the stroller. Have a good trip!

We usually do 1 late night at MK per trip. Our youngest was 6 months and 14 months on our last 2 trips and both times he fell asleep and stayed asleep in the stroller - even through restaurants, parades and fireworks. We only do it 1 night though just because our kids tend to stick with their morning wake up schedule no matter how late they were up the night before, so that means one of us (usually me) has to be up early with them.

Our daughter went on her first WDW trip also at 9 mo. She napped in the stroller so that was great. During her naps, we did the attractions we wanted to do using Rider Switch. Just wanted to note that at 9 months our daughter was terrified of fireworks. We found this out our first night there during Wishes. We ended up just skipping the night shows the rest of that trip. She is now almost four and LOVES the night shows.

Thank you for all the replies!!!

right now we have a DTD night, early dinner at O'hana then back to resort, and another early dinner at 50's then just walking through Osbourn Lights

Crystal824- we bought noise reducing headphones hoping those help (I LOVE Fantasmic and really want to watch it), plus we are staying at BLT, so we can always watch wishes from the roof :goodvibes

We took DD at 4 months and we stuck to her regular schedule. She took naps in her stroller just fine but we were always back at the hotel by 8pm or so. To us, it just didn't seem fair to her to mess with her schedule drastically to see the night time shows.

We are taking her this fall at 13 months and we aren't doing the nighttime entertainment either. Her normal bedtime is around 7pm and I have no desire to test her limits of staying up late or sleeping in the stroller through fireworks. We want to be at rope drop, so I just don't feel like messing with her schedule for the sake of us spending late evenings in the parks. Yes, it's a bit of a sacrifice now, but that's fine with us.
