Park place inn/ hojo

Hi I just canceled Park Place Inn for Howard Johnsons Please tell me I did the right thing. I'm hoping the walk isn't too much farther. I've stayed at the park place inn once and loved how close it was to DL however the howard Johnson looks like a nicer hotel and pool area. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, gina

The Park Place Inn is fine but I prefer HoJo's. The grounds are nice as are the two pool areas. The rooms are comfortable. The walk between the Hojo and the parks is about 4-5 minutes longer than at Park Place Inn. Power walking it is about 3 minutes.

You absolutely made the right choice. I've stayed at HOJO a few times and really liked it.

After I saw this post, I tried to book HoJo online, had a problem with the website, so I called the 800 number. Got the entertainment rate of $45 +tax for my two nights in late June.
I am happy. We were going to stay with the Candy Cane Inn which includes a continental breakfast, but DH likes a hot breakfast in the AM, so I thought the restaurant next door to HoJo would be more convenient and the room rate is better. Does HoJo have self parking and is there an additional fee?

HoJo has self parking. There is no fee.
