Park pics w/ disposable camera

We are taking our new digi camera with us next week (just love saying "next week"!) to WDW but I want to carry a disposable camera too as backup. That way we can hand off to CMs or obliging fellow guests to get pix of us together without explaining the camera mechanism or worrying about someone dropping it, etc. Can anyone recommend a good disposable camera?

Hi alliecats,

We took our digital and 3 disposable cameras on our recent trip to WDW. I took 2 Kodak and 1 Fugi disposables. There wasn't a difference between any of the pictures I took.

I've taken some awesome pictures using disposables. In fact, my husband had one that I took overlooking Twin Lakes in Mammoth, CA blown up to poster size. It's on the wall in his office.

Just don't do what I did . . . I took a few disposables to back up my digital - much easier as you said to hand that off for CMs to take photos (also take an underwater disposable for the water parks/pools) - but I mistakenly packed them in the check-through luggage on the way home !! Didn't even think of it until I had them developed and all the pictures came back crummy! The new scanners at the airport ruin the film.

Ditto - packed 3 disposables in the luggage on our last trip. About 5 pictures came out, but they were awful!! I was so upset! Thank goodness we also had a digital. However, we didn't have the digital on the day we took 3 yr. old to see Buzz, Woody and Jesse - his favorite. So, we are going back this year and won't make that mistake again!! Apparently, you can buy lead bags if you want to pack them in your check-in luggage. They sell them at Ritz Camera for about $9 or $10. Too little to late!!
