Park passes were deleted with AP activation

I've tried to search for this but couldn't find that it has been discussed.

Our DS and DDIL went to Disney this weekend and had to activate their AP renewals. They had park passes that were made 2 months ago for this day as well as passes in November for a resort stay. The CM said all of their park passes were deleted as a part of the activation process but she immediately gave them passes for the day so they could go to the parks. They were very nervous about the whole scenario because they had been able to snag a GOTG boarding group based on their park pass. They did not lose that boarding group but all of the November park passes were gone. They were able to get the same park passes again for our family Nov trip later in the day.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a glitch? DH and I have APs to activate in November and I don't want to be told our passes were deleted and they can't get us in for the duration of our trip. I can see this as a potential problem.

Sounds glitchy all around. Assuming by "park passes" you mean park reservations. How were they able to make November reservations without valid ticket media attached to accounts?

Yes, park reservation. They had a valid, purchased DVC AP renewal but hadn’t been to the park yet to activate it. A renewal is good for up to a year and November was well within that time period

This happened to us every day during our trip a couple weeks ago. It required a customer service person to be called over to our tapstyle for one or both of us each day but not when we hopped. They told us the same reason they told you, the migration to a new park pass system. It was a bit time consuming, but did not impact our ability to get or use G+, ILLs, or boarding group for Guardians.

There's been quite a few issues when they made the change to the pass system to allow AP and Ticket holders to book Reservations at the same time.
A lot of people noticed this already when they saw duplicates of reservations in their MDE accounts.
One option for people who have vouchers and pass reservations booked before this upgrade happened is to go back in and redo their reservations now. They'll likely be fine if they do

I was able to cancel and re-book our park reservations but I won't know until November if is helped. Thanks for the feedback!
