Hello all,

I did search the forums, but I couldn't find any info on this... as a DVC member, what type of discounts are available for park passes? Our intended use would be to probably go two times per year, totaling 10 days at the parks.

I have heard that there are discounts for DVC members... but how significant is it? Should I be considering annual passes?

Thanks in advance!

The only discount on park passes is if you purchase the Annual Pass (AP). You will save $100 per adult off the regular price. There are no discounts on park hopper passes. If you plan on a 10 day park trip you may want to consider the AP since I believe the break even is right around the 10 visit mark.

Brownie is right, and if you travel each year and shift your dates by a week, you can get two year's of trips on 1 AP, making it even more economical! We did that even before the DVC AP discount came along.

I'll echo Diane's recommendation. We do the same thing so in the OP's case, you'd get about 20 park days out of the AP, which makes it by far a better choice than the daily admissions options.

The AP also qualifies one to purchase the Disney Dining Experience card good for 20% off of food and drink at many WDW restaurants. You can buy that to do the same thing as the AP and cover two trips. :)

Annual park passes also give you the flexibility of coming and going as you please. I often felt in the past that my family was on a mission to conquer all the rides at one park when we used regular passes, it did not make for a relaxing vacation.

We also do the Week adjust to get 2 full trips in and then a smaller one if we can. We are starting this next set with a 12 day 4th of Jult stay and will go early June in 09

Hi
Do you get a discount at world of disney with the Ap ??
Thanks

Yes...10% on purchases over some minimum amount ($25?). There are some exclusions such as the BBBoutique is not included in the discount.

With owning DVC and the AP discount makes me go 3 to 4 times a year now. And loving it.

One nice perk of an AP is you get free parking at the Theme parks. This is nice if you're ever staying off-site and aren't getting the Resort Guest free parking.

I have a premium DVC annual pass. Does anyone know if I can only order a premium to get the renewal price or can I get a renewal price on the regular annual pass?
Thanks, Deb
