Maybe everyone already knows this but I just found out. Called today to pay the balance on our package and ask if we could get the Park Hopper option when we checked in, the young lady I spoke to said no this is the last day I could add the Hopper option to our package, good thing I asked ! Just thought I would pass that along, if you're thinking of adding it don't wait till you're there.

From what I understand, you can always actually upgrade when you're down there. I've had some guests come back to our store and tell us that they originally bought a base ticket but changed their mind when they got there and upgrade...they just paid the difference. But that may just be because their tickets purchase was completely separate from a package...and they can't switch ticket types at our store (TDS).

For some resort packages (I don't know which ones) there is a deadline for making changes including changes to the admission passes. Also for some packages everybody on that package has to make the same changes so all passes are the same.

I believe that if the room and ticket are bought separtely you can upgrage the ticket at any time [except upgrade to AP must be done at a Guest Relations window after you arrive]. If however you have purchased a package deal that includes room and park admissions you can not make changes after the package is paid off, but I ot 100% sure that is the way it works. Hopefully there is someone here that knows for sure.

Today we are 45 days out and is the deadline to pay off our MYW package. I called to pay it and ask about the upgrade to Hopper and the young lady said today was the last day to add that option to our package.

ALthough there may be restrictions on changing the ticket part of a package before you go there won't be a problem once you get there.
We went in March. Ordered a myw pkg including dining and a one day ticket for each. Everyone on the pkg has to have the same ticket options- in our case six of uus at at FW site.

Once we arrived each of us simply upgraded to whichever ticket we wanted. The check in desk simply takes your ticket/room key/dining card (all the same on a pkg) inserts it into his or her computer presses some keys and viola- new ticket. Furthermore if its a nonexpiring ticket you can go back years later and add the hopper pkg, or more days simply by paying the difference.

Only exception is upgrading to an AP. That has to be done at QUest services, and they issue a new AP card seperate from your room key. The one day ticket I had bought as part of the pkg was simply credited against the cost of the AP
