From what I understand, the parking lots attendants at the parks only ask to see to Magic Bands to confirm that you are staying there and do not have to pay for parking. Can anyone confirm this? Is any other verification required that you are staying onsite to qualify for the free parking?

I was there last week and got a paper parking pass for the dash. No mention of showing a Magic Band.

No, not true. MB's aren't enough to get free parking. You'll need the parking pass from your resort for that. If you are an Annual Passholder staying off property you need to show your actual AP card for free parking. :car:

I was there last week, with a car. I got a paper parking permit for my dashboard. No mention was made of using my MB. They would have to have scanners in order to do that.....haven't seen any of those yet.
If that were true, there would be a lot of people selling MBs. Then, anyone could use a non-functioning MB to park free!

The toll booths do have a scanner to read the magic band. Not everyone is using it yet. If you don't have a magic band but you do have an annual pass be sure to have your drivers license handy. They are starting to ask for that more when showing your annual pass.

People have found ways to cheat the system and they are trying to tighten it up at the auto plaza.
