Park or Disney Transportation?

My mom and I wanted to go to two parks in one day. We want to hit Animal Kingdom and then MGM. Afterwards we thought we might hit Planet Hollywood for dinner. My question is, is it better to park at Down Town Disney and just take their transportion between the three or should I just take my car and drive around and park myself? I know I can't go directly to a park from DTD so if did this which would be the best route to go? Also would all the changing be more of a hassle then just paying the money to park or is the parking driving and re-parking more of a hassel? As you can see I am in need of some advice.

No, because there IS no transportation between Downtown Disney and any major park. And transportation between DtD and the various resorts doesn't start until the stores open - long after any park opens.

Drive to AK; visit AK; drive to MGM; visit MGM; drive to Downtown Disney.
