Park Openings/PS Times?

Geesh, I hope I am posting this in the right forum...it is a parks, restaurants, AND transportation question, but mostly strategy, so bear with me! :)

Okay, here is my confusion....upon reviewing my itineraries, I noticed that several of my PS for breakfasts are BEFORE official park opening time. How does this work? How do I get INTO the park BEFORE official opening time? For example, we are at Cindy's 8:30 am on 7/3, but park opening is not until 9?

Also, I understand that there are special buses that go around the resorts to pick up for character breakfasts? Is this true?

Thank you!
Jeanette

You won't have anything to worry about. It might be best to ask the main desk when the busses start running to take early priority seating guests to the park. Busses run, so don't worry about that.

You'll need to get your bags checked, and then you'll proceed to the main gate. They will have a certain segment of the ticket entrances set aside for priority seating. They'll have a list of all the priority seatings for the morning and they will let you in.

RYMickey has it all right... just wanted to add they open the gates at 8am for Priority Seatings :)

I just wanted to add that I did this as we had an 8:05 PS on a day when MK opened at 9. I called down to the front desk to check on the bus times, was connected to concierge, and was told "oh, no, the buses don't start running til 8 a.m. You'll have to call for a taxi". Since we had our laptop with us, I posted a question for Tyler about it on the transportation board and, as I thought, he said the character breakfast buses do start running earlier. He was right, of course, and we got the bus with no problem.

I guess my point is, don't necessarily rely on the information at the hotel. We have specialized experts here on the boards! :teeth:

If you want to read a post from Tyler (ChipNDale Express) about the character breakfast transportation, go over to the Restaurants board, it was on the first page a couple days ago, it's still there. Great info!

Does Disney Dining try to discourage off-site guests from making such early PS? I can't see how an offsite guest could make it to an 8:05 PS.
