Park maps for surprise

Can one order park maps from the Disney site? Our trip will be our kids' Christmas present and I'd love to have them to use for that.

Also, for our last trip there was a thread of very kind people who would make personalized letters for dinners, welcomes, Tink gifts, etc. Is that still around?

Best way to get some official maps. But your local AAA or travel agency may also have some as promotional material!

Email guest services. I emailed them at the end of last month and asked could some be mailed to me and I got them a couple weeks later.

I also emailed Guest Services and asked. First time they said they did not send maps and I could get them online. So I sent a sent a second request and may have told them I did not have access to a computer. Perhaps it was a tiny fib but hey it's for a very expensive Disney trip. Had them within a week. So nice to have a physical park map to plan. Good luck with the maps and the surprise!!

I emailed guest services, too. It seems to me they will send maps if you give them a reason. My son loves maps, but he wants to look at the whole thing at once and find all the different things from the legend so the online ones weren't quite good enough. I told them we had a trip planned, and while we knew about the online maps they weren't working well for my kids. No response, but maps showed up within a week. The kids and I have had lots of fun looking at them!

If you can print them then go to the WDW site, click Parks and Tickets, choose a park, and on the right side there is a "Download Pritnable Map" link I printed them all last week.

What kind of personalized items are you looking for...?

You can download Disney-esque fonts and make some items yourself with PowerPoint and clip art. I made Disney Journals and personalized shirts for my kids for our last trip. I am going to make autograph books for next year's trip.

I know you have your solution, but if anyone has this issue in the future, there's always someone on ebay selling the current maps. Usually in the sub 3 dollar range.
