Park Inn Anaheim

we are planning our Feb 10 -13 trip and booked a room at the Park Inn Anaheim. Has anyone stayed there before? Last year we stayed at the Fairfield Inn which is almost next door to the Park Inn. We got the room for $72 a night. If anyone knows about this hotel please let me know what you thought about it. Thanks!

We stayed there in May '04.

-the rooms are very basic, but a good sized
-the tub and toliet are enclosed, the vanity area is in the main room part.
-service was really good, nice staff
-pool was nice, it is on a rooftop, so that is kind of cool
-from the pool and our room we could see the Matterhorn and fireworks!
-when we there the hot tub was really smelly stinky. Hopefully it isn't anymore!(it is also really small)
-there are two good giftshops, with cheap snacks and souveneirs
-it was clean, housekeeping arranged my kids stuffed animals in cute ways on the bed and stuff
-our room was right above/beside the pool, so you could hear kids in the pool day and night making lots of noise!
-right next to McDonalds, which is nice!
-there is a laundrymat and games room, but we didn't use either, so can't comment on it!
-the free continental breakfast was good, but basic. There was juice, hot beverages, cereal, cinnamon buns and pastries, apples and oranges. There was also apples at the front desk for free. Nice to grab for a snack for later!
-the breakfast room is very small, and fills up quickly, so try to be there not at peak hours!(which is about 1 hour before park opening!)

All in all, it was good. To us, a hotel room at Disney is basically to sleep and shower, and thats what the Park Inn is, nothing more!!
But the location is awesome, and the price was right!

We stayed there in November of 2004 and were satisfied. I agree with everything Albertanmom stated, it is a clean, basic motel in a great location. I prefer the HoJo's pool area, grounds and room size but I was able to get an internet rate (paid at time of booking) at the Park Inn for $49 a night which was around $30 a night cheaper than the HoJo was. If the HoJo is the same price or only a little more expensive I would pick there because it is nicer (but a further walk and no free breakfast). We had friends that stayed there the week before we did and they had a fine stay as well. You might check out tripadvisor.com and see what more recent reviews are saying and how it stacks up to the Fairfield. I would also check out the Candy Cane Inn which seems to get the best reviews. Last time I checked into offsite lodging, the Candy Cane was about the same price as the Park Inn. It isn't as close but they have a free shuttle and also have a free breakfast that looks better than the Park Inn's.

The Park Inn is currently being renovated too, scheduled to be finished in June (I think) We'll probably be staying there for a couple days early next year. It has good reviews and a great location.

We stayed at the Park Inn in June, 2005. Like the others have said, the roms are clean and basic. We stayed in a suite and thought it was roomy. We had 3 adults and 3 kids in our room, and we weren't tripping over each other. The kids enjoyed the pool and thought it was great that we could see the fireworks from the pool area. We would stay there again.
