Park Hours Frustration

So if I'm reading that correctly, they are changing the hours because World of Color is being pushed back? First, that's kind of disappointing because I would have been able to so it on my trip. Second, I'm not sure I understand the logic behind pushing it back.

Not entirly. Usually hours in late April are short because it is off-season and entertainment is reduced on weekdays. For a long while WOC was rumored to debut aroudn April 23 and if that happened I think DLR was considering expanding hours when it opened. When they apparently decided to push WOC into June (this is all still rumor at this point - but credible rumors) then they went back to historical short hours in April.

As far as pushing WOC back (if that is your question) there are tons of logisitics to work out including possibly adding an entirely new Showpass approach. So it was apparently decided to push WOC later to allow more time to have everything in place.

The way I was reading it made it sound like they didn't want to open WOC until after Fantasmic returned.

they were happy to oblige WDI's request to push it back until after Fantasmic returns on May 28th

Yes, because the logistics and testing were making it look difficult to open it in May. I think the mention of Fantasmic was just a point of reference that WOC would open in June and not May. F! is to open May 27 and usually Disney tries to open these things on Fridays. That means probably June 4 or 11 with lots of rumors about the 11th.

Here are the hours the CM just gave my mom over the phone for April 26-May1
Mon 9-10 Tues 9 - 8 Wed 9-10 Thurs 9-10 Fri 8-12 Sat 8-12

Disclaimers this is only my opinion and not fact of anykind!

While I was in DL this month WOC testing seemed to be going fine. I really think as others have pointed out that the seating issue and park capacity issue with all the construction is more of the concern. I would not be surprise if WOC did open in May. to allow all of the ap holders to get it out thier system before summer hits. If I worked at Disney that is what I would do. I'm hoping they also hold special AP only nights as well.

Still, no update on hours on their website.

Thanks Disney Dider for the info. Those hours would be fine with me.
